Medical disclaimer
Seemira is a general wellness product informed by psychobiology and nervous system science. It is designed to help you build interoceptive awareness, the skill of noticing and understanding your body's signals, and to support everyday wellbeing. Everything in the app and on this site is for general wellness and educational purposes only.
Not medical advice.
Seemira does not provide medical advice. Nothing in the app, on this site, or in any Seemira content is intended as medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any question about your health, and never delay or disregard professional advice because of something you experienced with Seemira.
No clinician-patient relationship.
Using Seemira does not create a clinician-patient relationship between you and Seemira, our team, or any of the clinicians and practitioners featured on this site. The people you see here share their own experience and views, not a clinical endorsement of Seemira's effectiveness or medical advice for your situation.
If it brings something up.
Learning to feel your body can surface strong sensations or emotions. Many people find the practice settling, but responses vary. If an exercise brings on discomfort, dizziness, breathlessness, or emotional distress, stop and take a break, and speak with a professional if it continues.
Before you start.
Please talk to a healthcare professional before using Seemira if you have a cardiac, respiratory, or neurological condition, a diagnosed mental health condition, or a history of panic attacks or trauma. If you are managing any diagnosed condition, use Seemira alongside your clinician's guidance rather than in place of it.
In an emergency.
Seemira is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis, or think you may be experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, do not use the app and contact your local emergency services straight away. In the United States you can call or text 988. In Australia you can call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
Your use, your discretion.
Using Seemira is voluntary and at your own discretion.
